Welcome back to school!

Each class at Daniel Warren and F.E. Bellows has one Head Class Parent and two Event Coordinators.* For the most part, these 3 Class Parents will work together and make decisions and prepare for class and/or grade events as a team.

We hope that you will consider volunteering for one of these positions in your child’s class! Below is some information about the different class parent roles and what they entail:

Head Class Parent (HCP):  Are you creative, organized, and a people person? An HCP will meet with the teacher at the start of the year to choose dates and times for class events, collect and manage class funds, liaise with the teacher and parents about social happenings throughout the year, volunteer in-person at the class parties and help secure volunteers for PTSA events like the book fair, spring fair, etc.

Event Coordinator (EC): Are you short on time, but want to help out? ECs will work with the HCP to plan crafts, activities, and games for class parties, volunteer in-person at class parties and at school wide events, and help source and assemble class teacher gifts.

Grade Level Coordinator (GLC):  At Daniel Warren, each Grade has one HCP who will act as a liaison between the HCPs and the grade level teacher team leader. The GLC will also coordinate and schedule all grade-level activities, such as field days. Prior experience as an HCP is helpful in this role.

* Grade 5 has 2 class parent per class who work in tandem and divvy up responsibilities as they see fit as a team. These Class Parent Teams will work closely with the PTSA’s 5th Grade Affairs team.

Apply by Friday, September 13, 2024.  Selected Class Parents will be contacted on or around Friday, September 20, 2024.

Please remember to be considered you MUST be a PTSA member for the 2024-2025 school year.
