Would you be wiling to help students in Rye Neck by sharing your career expertise and experience?
We are hoping to build a Rye Neck resource network, where our students can learn from the expertise of our community.
The idea is to identify parents, neighbors, recent graduates, or any other local resource willing to help students by sharing their knowledge and expertise.
How can you help?
1.) Volunteer to expand on a topic at school by giving a lecture, presentation or demonstration. Past topics include: biology, anatomy, Arabic studies, statistics, acupuncture, Chinese medicine and meteorology.
2.) Be a resource for students by talking about your career. This will give students the chance to ask questions about specific jobs and gain insight into industries - technology, medicine, restaurant, entertainment, finance, biotech, research, consulting - any!
3. Possibly assisting with work experience, skill building, or even sponsoring an internship
This project is in its infancy, but if you have knowledge, skills, or abilities that you are willing to share with our students, please get in touch - and help spread the word!
If you wish to volunteer, be involved, or just learn more, please send us an email.
